Guest guest
(info from IDA): The mayor of Tainan County, Taiwan, agreed to donate government-owned land to allow a coalition of animal lovers to build a free spay/neuter clinic. Even though the Animal Protection Law has been passed, it is going to be some time before the whole situation is improved significantly. Tainan will be the first county in Taiwan to have this type of clinic and hopefully it will serve as a model for other cities to follow. A letter of gratitude to the mayor for his leadership and compassion is crucial to encourage him to follow through with the plan. Dr. Wen-wen Huang was the key person to convince the Mayor, and she believes this clinic will be a crucial step in reducing dog and cat overpopulation.
