The back of the chariot was to be used by the Emperor Qin Shihuang`s soul to go out and inspect his army in the afterlife. The bronze chariot is considered to be the crown jewel of the relics unearthed from the emperor`s mausoleum............ In his reply President Jiang said: " We have every reason to conclude that China and Malta are all-weather friends that have withstood the test of time " . Mr Jiang will today be meeting Dr Fenech Adami and Labour leader Alfred Sant. He is the second president of China to visit Malta.
