> Isn't it weird - they are sexually dysfunctional

The Chinese are no more sexually dysfunctional than others.

> have to kill rhino

In Traditional rhino horn is used not as an aphrodisiac but

as a treatment for fever.

> tigers and antelope to help them

> produce one child per family

The problem for China has been one of excessive production of children -

there is no more individual infertility in China than elsewhere.

> and kill trees

Wooden chopsticks are a recent plague in China. They have only become

popular with the advent of the Western idea of fast food and the authorities

are making efforts to control them. China has an excellent record in recent

years of re-afforestation.

> because they are apparently unable to use a spoon

The Chinese have always used spoons for certain dishes and chopsticks for

others.

> or dislike cleaning dishes.

Polystyrene lunch boxes are illegal in many parts of China.

I think this is an unhelpful approach. Boycotts alienate.

Interaction fosters mutual understanding and enables change.

And I don't understand how the name given to a dog (or any animal) has any

relevance to the cruelties being inflicted upon it.

With respect.

John.

Personally I think having the Olympics in China will

give us an EXCELLENT opportunity to go there and see

everything (well, maybe not everything). Maybe we

(especially activists from Asia) should plan a meeting

or an exhibit or whatever to coincide with the

Olympics.
