They have only become popular with the advent of the Western idea of fast food and the authorities are making efforts to control them. China has an excellent record in recent years of re-afforestation. > because they are apparently unable to use a spoon The Chinese have always used spoons for certain dishes and chopsticks for others. > or dislike cleaning dishes. Polystyrene lunch boxes are illegal in many parts of China. > Hopefully all billion Catholics, vegetarians and others will not attend > the Olympics I think this is an unhelpful approach. Boycotts alienate. Interaction fosters mutual understanding and enables change. And I don't understand how the name given to a dog (or any animal) has any relevance to the cruelties being inflicted upon it. With respect. John. Personally I think having the Olympics in China will give us an EXCELLENT opportunity to go there and see everything (well, maybe not everything).
