[pfabgl-forum] PFA files FIR against Pesi Shroff

On 17.07.01, PFA volunteers filed an FIR against the noted jockey,

Pesi Shroff.

It was noted by eye-witnesses, that on Sunday, The horse " Salt Lake "

which was being jockeyed by Pesi Shroff, tripped prior to the race

and fell down, with Pesi.

Now, Pesi in a fit of anger, took his whip, bent the poor horse's

head and whipped it on its face, which is a cognisable offence in the

eyes of law.

This was noted by many stewards as well as many members of public.

On receiving this complaint, PFA volunteers filed an FIR against Pesi

in the High Grounds Police Station, under Sections 428, 429 of the

Indian Penal Code and Section 11(1)(a) of the Prevention of cruelty to

animals act.

 

Press and media have been intimated.
