Guest guest Posted July 7, 2001 Report Share Posted July 7, 2001 China Daily 7th July 2001 http://www1.chinadaily.com.cn/cndy/2001-07-07/18785.html CHANGCHUN Two pairs of adult black bears, raised in captivity, have been freed back into the Jingouling Wildlife Reserve in Northeast China's Jilin Province recently.The event, sponsored by the forest departments of Beijing and Wangqing County in Jilin, was to promote people's awareness about wild life. Years of effort have turned the reserve, 16,000 hectares in area, into a paradise for animals, which are increasing in number and diversity.
