Any old bandage strapping the wing to the body in a reasonably anatomically position, usually a figure 8 round the fat part of body & wing just below the main bend [the one at the front of the wing] will encourage some sort of healing but that will not be functional enough to allow release. So are there facilities for long term & appropriate care ? if not then the bird should be put to sleep. >it really takes a team to deal with this kind of case ie veterinary to fix it the rehabbers to do the release part. It is difficult for amateurs to the second part as well as the first.
