The monkey fell six metres from a tree after being hit with a tranquilliser dart. It has made a full recovery. Authorities spent two days trying to track down the four-year-old male macaque. They're trying to find out if it's an escaped pet. It's thought the monkey travelled from Kowloon to Tsim Sha Tsui and across the harbour to Wan Chai and then to Causeway Bay, the Hong Kong iMail reports. It was initially seen entertaining pedestrians near the Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry but then vanished. Police and Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department staff searched for the animal in vain. It was spotted a day later on the roof of Star Ferry pier. It again evaded authorities, but reappeared at the Sun Hung Kai building near the Wan Chai ferry terminal where a markswoman shot it with a tranquilliser dart.
