URGENT , JUNE 29 Whaling Protest,

 

Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi will be in town to meet with

President Bush this Friday, and The HSUS, GREENPEACE, and EIA

will be holding a protest, coinciding with his visit, against Japan's

ongoing killing of endangered and threatened whales. Please join us!

 

 

Where: The Japanese Embassy, 2520 Massachusetts Ave. NW

Washington, DC

When: Friday, June 29th from 10 am-11:30 am

 

This protest will also coincide nicely with the new Whaling Resolution

(no Resolution number yet) that is being introduced this week in the

U.S. House of Reps. The Whaling Resolution reaffirms the U.S.'s

opposition to commercial and lethal scientific whaling, and calls for

continued U.S. efforts to protect global whale populations.
