Please find below Greenpeace's latest letter e-appeals..I know this isn't strictly animal oriented, but the first two relate to Kyoto Protocol, which of course is vital for the future of thousands and thousands of climate sensitive species, and the last is regarding trawling of dwindling fish stocks. So hopefully I have not stepped on anyone's feet by posting this, if so, apologies.

1. Greenpeace has written to the 100 largest corporations in the United States asking them to state their position on the Kyoto Protocol. Please help support this campaign by using this simple web form to write to the CEOs of the top five US oil companies (ExxonMobil, Texaco, Chevron, Conoco and Phillips) and urge them to support the Kyoto Protocol. Please fill out your contact information below and a letter will automatically be generated which you can review, modify, or send as is.

2. The Ford Motor Company placed an advertisement in the Financial Times on 8 May professing its concern about global warming and climate change. In fact, Ford opposes the Kyoto Protocol, the international treaty against global warming.

On 25 April, Ford sent a letter to Greenpeace attacking the Kyoto Protocol. Ford is also a prominent member of the US Council for International Business, a Washington lobby group which on 11 April wrote to US President George W. Bush supporting his opposition to the Kyoto Protocol and urging Mr. Bush to chart a path “that will avoid the Kyoto Protocol's unrealistic targets, timetables and lack of developing country participation."

Ford has invited members of the public to tell it what you think of Ford’s attitude. Please fill out your contact information below and a short letter will be created to which you can add your own comment.

3. Cod fisheries are collapsing all around the world, and yet fishing fleets continue to pursue dwindling stocks into the most remote regions of the world. Greenpeace is especially concerned about the ongoing Arctic cod fishery in the Barents sea of the Arctic ocean. Please take a minute today and ask the Norwegian prime minister to halt this destructive factory trawling at:
