Guest guest
Bonsai kitten is a sick idea, but it is a joke. There's nothing Japanese about it, and I think most Japanese would be insulted by the idea that anyone thinks they would do this. The original website was hosted out of an MIT dorm-room. Some maladjusted people with too much computer power. What the photos and text depict is actually clearly impossible. While the joke is sick and I disapprove, personally I feel it's important to concentrate one's energy on stopping things that are truly currently hurting animal welfare, not just fantasizing about it. If all of this energy were focussed on individual animal shelters that kill kittens or individual companies that promote animal testing that would make more of a difference to kittens. Thanks for listening -- Kristin (dvm) - <aapn > <aapn > Thursday, May 31, 2001 6:10 PM In Japan is a man who sells " bonsai-kittens " . It is a bit hard for me to translate the Dutch text into English, but please go to www.bonsaikitten.com <http://www.bonsaikitten.com> , where you can read how this is done. I could not believe it first, and thought it was a very sick joke. But even on the radionews they talked about it, and said it is true. This mail is a petition to stop this cruelty.
