Lowline cattle introduced

Australian Lowline cattle, one of the most prolific reproducers among the

world's cattle breeds, have been introduced to Southwest China's Guangxi

Zhuang Autonomous Region. By using embryo transplant technology, farmers in

Hezhou of Guangxi will allow the first import of 29 Lowline cattle to

multiply in number and eventually crossbreed them with locally bred cattle,

according to Jiang Hesheng, an animal husbandry expert. " Australia is free

from mad cow disease, and compared with local cattle, Lowline cattle grow

bigger and faster, " Jiang said.
