Guest guest
Some of the rules for the CBS Survivor series are : Break the law. Even though they are stranded in the Australian Outback, the Survivors will still be held to US law, as well as local law. Any breach of those laws is against the contest rules; Damage the environment. Only designated fruits, vegetables, and animals are allowed to be harvested as food. In addition, the Survivors may not leave litter or any other debris on the site, and they will be obliged to give full consideration to the ecological impact of everything they do in the Outback; In one episode one sees these contestants killing a cock (supplied with hens for egg supply purposes), and the multiple stab-wound death with a hunting knife of a very small black bushpig - suspiciously docile for a creature which was supposedly "wild". In a previous episode, contestants ate a cow's brain, and various live creatures. Where was the Australian NSPCA or other authorities? Why were these atrocities allowed to happen in Australia? Where was HSUS? Surely CBS is subject to "US law" - whatever that is with respect to animals? They say the next venue for the Survivor series is going to be Africa. I hope not - we don't want, nor need, this kind of "entertainment" to add to our already overloaded violence-besotted society.
