Guest guest
Good luck with this trip Mina! Wish we could take in another one, but Captain and Bella keep us busy! To those of you who worry about the dogs that come from Taiwan being ill and possibly passing something *contagious* on, this is just not true. The *worst case scenario* is a dog will have the last stages of mange from living under such stressing conditions, possibly some ear mites. Both are easily treatable, neither is communicable. We couldn't ask for better dogs! Both Captain and Bella suffered such hardships in Taiwan, and here in New Jersey they are living life to the fullest! Bella is our tracking dog, our rescue promotion dog, has made appearances on t.v. and is just wonderful with everyone and everything. She is excellent at PR for the breed, as well as for dogs coming from Taiwan. We've had Bella for three years as of June 8. Captain has taken time to " warm up " , but now he is really coming into his own personality, he's an absolute sweetheart, and although he has a very intimidating look about him, he's a big MUSH dog. He's been here since the day before Thanksgiving. Thank you Mina for all you do. We couldn't possibly take in another dog at this time (ha ha..there's ALWAYS room for one more!) but we will send in a donation to help some other lucky dog come to the US and find a great home. All the best!
