The animal rights activist screamed " You murdering bitch " before the attack, which ruined Liz's outfit. It happened as the British beauty arrived at actor Billy Zane's 35th birthday party at the Sunset Room nightclub in Los Angeles. Star guests including Denzel Washington and Matt LeBlanc looked on horrified and shaken Liz fled. One onlooker said: " Liz was furious - the coat must have cost a fortune. She ran out looking close to tears. " Everyone was too shocked to try to find the woman attacker, who vanished into the crowd. Liz was so upset she got straight into her car and went home.
