Guest guest Posted November 8, 2000 Report Share Posted November 8, 2000 Monday November 6, 2000 Guizhou Closes 56 Wild Animals Raising Farms Southwest China's Guizhou Province shut down 56 wild animal raising farms that were not qualified for animal raising or were involved in illegal sales of wild animals. Sources from the provincial agricultural bureau said that 26 wild animal raising farms which lacked funds, fine techniques and management have been asked to improve conditions within limited time periods. The province now has 189 registered wild animal raising farms and zoos that breed wild animals.
