Shared by Carolyn Shaw 1/96 Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : 1 Point Done By Dotties Calculator Low-Fat Vegan Rice And Grains Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 teaspoons Olive oil 2 cloves Garlic -- finely chopped 1 medium Onion -- chopped 8 cups Cold water 1 1/2 cups Lentils rinsed in cold water and drained 3 tablespoons Ketchup 1/8 teaspoon Ground cloves 1 1/2 teaspoons Salt Black pepper Soften vegetables in oil in soup pot. Add water, lentils, ketchup, cloves and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce to low, cover and cook until lentils are tender, about 45 minutes, adding more water if needed. Season.
