(LOW FAT) BROCCOMOLE

Hi here is a nice alternative to the otherwise high fat guacamole, add a little

bit of tobasco or chili sauce to give it a little more zest. the whole recipe

is less the 1 point ( 0.95 points). Try this as a pita sandwich topper with

canned refried beans ( or just mash kidey beans) lettuce, tomato, and this on a

pita bread and there you'd have a 2-3 point sandwich :)

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 1/2 cups broccoli stalks -- cooked

tough outer layer peeled off

1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice -- freshlt sqeezed

1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 tomato -- diced

1 scallion -- sliced

1 green chile -- canned, chopped

 

In a food processor, blend the broccoli stems with the lemon juice, cumin, and

garlic powder until completely smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and mix

well by hand, but do not blend. Chill before serving for best flavor.
