Guest guest
I wanted to pass on this great website/service I've found: http://spamcop.net/ There is no charge for this service. They ask that you and pay a $15 fee, but it is not required. What you do is this: When you receive a spam, save the e-mail in your word processing program by clicking on " file " and then " save as " and then save it as a text file. This will save all the headers & codes that are necessary. Then copy & paste the entire spam (headers & message) where indicated on the SpamCop site and hit " parse message " . They will track the correct e-mail address of the spammer and will generate a complaint letter to their ISP. Toward the end of the report, SpamCop will tell you how many complaints they have received about this particular spammer and how many the ISP has received. Many spammers have had their accounts terminated after people have used the SpamCop service. I've tried it today, but have not received any reports back yet, only a confirmation letter from one ISP. If you are annoyed by spam as much as I am, I thought you all would appreciate this link. Karen -- Karen C.
