Guest guest Posted April 19, 2002 Report Share Posted April 19, 2002 Beets with Orange Sauce 16 oz. can sliced beets, drained 2 T. margarine or butter Sauce: 1 T. grated orange peel 1/2 c. fresh orange juice 2 T. fresh lemon juice 1/4 c. sugar 1 T. cornstarch 1/2 tsp. salt Heat beets in saucepan and stir in margarine. In separate pan, heat orange peel and juices. Place sugar, cornstarch and salt in small bowl to mix. Add to hot juices. Stir until sauce is clear and thick. Pour over beets and stir to thoroughly coat. Yield: 4 - 6 servings ===== Language is an expression of thought.
