Old Fashioned Fudge CookiesIngredients1 cup white sugar3/4 cup butter, softened1 egg2 teaspoons vanilla extract2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, meltedDirections1 Cream sugar and butter in mixer till creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, beat tillwell-mixed.2 Blend in flour, baking powder, and salt. Continue beating until well mixed.Beat in melted chocolate on low speed just until mixed.3 Shape into slightly flattened balls (rounded teaspoonfuls). Bake onungreased cookie sheets at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 7-8 minutes oruntil set. Cool for about a minute, then remove to wire racks to cool.
