Guest guest Posted January 15, 2002 Report Share Posted January 15, 2002 Esau's Pottage 1/3 c. Rice (uncooked) 4 c. Water 1 tsp. Salt 1 c. Onion (chopped) 2 Tbs. Oil 1 c. Lentils (dried) Start water boiling in a large pot. Rinse and drain rice and lentils, then add them to the boiling water. Add the remaining ingredients to the boiling water. Cover and simmer until rice and lentils are tender (about 20-30 minutes). Garnish with parsley and slices of red bell peppers or pimientos. Serve piping hot Language is an expression of thought.
