Please join Bay Area Vegetarians for a screening of this wonderful new film, Peaceable Kingdom, from Tribe of Heart ( " The Witness " ) at the Artists' Television Access, 992 Valencia Street, San Francisco. " At a time when the public is more concerned than ever about the health and environmental problems associated with large-scale factory farming, Peaceable Kingdom explores another angle of this unfolding story: the interconnected life journeys of farm animals, former farmers, and animal rescuers struggling against an out of control industrial system. Breaking generations of silence in the farm community, Peaceable Kingdom weaves together themes of respect, forgiveness, commitment, and healing, offering a vision of a more peaceful world that is well within our reach. " Doors open at 7:30, film starts at 8:00 pm, $5 admission. Film time 77 minutes. You are welcome to join us for dinner at Herbivore beforehand at 6:30 pm (on Valencia, near 21st). While we don't need RSVPs for the movie, please do RSVP if you'd like to sit with the group for dinner. RSVP to events If you are going directly to the movie, FYI, ATA is only a few blocks from BART (24th St or 16th St), and there's usually parking on the street or nearby public garage. Note: ATA is not a traditional theatre. It is at 992 Valencia Street, near 21st, and has a small sign saying " Artists Television Access " .
