Uncovered in Michelle Rokke's investigation in 1997, Yamanouchi were going to

pay HLS to conduct a leg-breaking experiment on 37 beagle puppies - legs were

going to be sawn, then snapped with steel wire with no anaesthetic, in order to

test a new drug which might speed up the healing process of fractured bones.

 

Yamanouchi are also famous for purchasing 2-day-old puppies for experiments.
