Dubya hunts, too. I thought I heard about him shooting a flock's worth of birds. Like many so-called pro-lifers, he shows a callous disregard for post-fetal and nonhuman life. I was at a pro-choice vigil in front of the Supreme Court yesterday, and one of the antis was carrying a sign asking something like " What are you doing to stop the slaughter? " Gee, I went vegan; I figure that saves 80-90 lives a year right there. Danielle ******Surprise! There are actually people who are both Vegan and Pro-life. Every life, human or animal should count. As Robert Cohen mentioned in three of his newsletters including one of his latest, " I believe in Abortion " , even unborn humans deserve the same respect from Animal Rights Activists as animals do. It doesn't have to be one or the other. It can be both. (Doesn't mean I like Bush because I don't; no matter who becomes the next president, there are so many people in the background manipulating that there is no way that person will be able to do everything the way they want it done or the American people who elected them wants it done). The saying on the sign is your typical underhanded, backstabbing way of getting a message across. Even PETA is guilty of such ways of getting messages across. It is not a very appealing way to get people into your " movement " by slamming them in the face with words that are, shall we say, hateful? Guest guest
yeah, well, I'd wager most of THEM eat meat. I value actual lives over potential lives, and I believe that abortion should be safe, legal, and rare. I believe in preventing unwanted pregnancy in the first place, as do many of us in the pro-choice movement. Many so- called pro-lifers oppose all repro choice for women, and that includes contraceptives. And there's something terribly wrong with people who can scream about the sanctity of life one week and support capital punishment the next. Besides, the 1.5 million or so abortions every year can't possibly compare to 10 billion sentient land animals brutalized and slaughtered. That's more animals killed in one day than pregnancies are ended in a year. But I saw a bumper sticker at Pangea that's right up your alley. It reads " How can you be PRO-LIFE when you eat DEAD animals? " Danielle vegan-network , " Steve and Jenn " > ******Surprise! There are actually people who are both Vegan and Pro- life.
