Guest guest
One of the main roles of ARC (Animal Rights Coalition) is to bring together groups and individuals who share a common goal. At ARC we believe the animal rights movement is only as strong as the sum of its parts. It is ARC's aim to bring together in a spirit of co-operation the diverse groups that make up the sum of these parts, and to strengthen the movement's unity and resolve in order that we can become the unstoppable force for change that we have the potential for becoming. As one of the many drives towards achieving this goal, we now intend to introduce the idea of ARC social events around the country in order to bring people together in a relaxed informal atmosphere, not only with the intention of forging and cementing stronger links with groups and individuals but with the twin hope of raising funds for local groups, animal sanctuaries and with the express aim of setting up a permanent Animal Rights Resource Centre (ARRC). The first of these events is to take place on the 28th February. There will be fun to be had all round with a DJ, vegan buffet, bar and fundraising events, including raffles and auctions with exciting prizes to bid for! There will also be a continuous video projection of images to accompany the music to remind us of just what is possible when people act together united by a common cause. Although the event will be a fun night out for people, its underlying message is a serious one: that is, that united against the animal abuse industry, we are a force to be reckoned with. Please show your support for ARC by attending this inaugural gathering, and bring a friend. Remember this will also be an ideal opportunity to introduce new people to the movement. This is the start of a new era of co-operation for the Animal Rights movement. Be a part of it. The ARC social is scheduled for the 28th February at the Allen Club, Hurst Grove, Bedford, MK40 4DN, which is situated a few minutes from Bedford railway station. Start time 7.00pm, finish 12 midnight. Tickets are £4 each and can be obtained from Arkangel, BCM 9240, London WC1N 3XX, cheques made payable to Arkangel, or can be bought on the door on the night, but we do advise people that to avoid disappointment tickets should be bought early. Remember all the money made on the night will go to a good cause, so as well as having a good time you will be directly supporting the animals. We look forward to seeing you there!
