Or waybe they weren't, but I can't think that all groups of vegans are that way (okay, sorry for the interrupt) Thats OK Jon- I was being semi-ironic/tongue in cheek with that post (esp the bit about checking out each others' footwear all the time...), these wern't necessarly 'Real' people but composites based on stereotypes I've met over the years.... but it's well known that our pals from accross the pond don't understand irony ;-) (NB that was ironic as well...)... But then Brad goes and proves my point with his full on, hectoring, lecturing, moralising, earnest post... feck, when I'm off duty I don't need it, which is why I could never live with vegans I'm not related to ;-) BTW i'll make allowances for you Jon as I saw earlier when i had a lurk into alt.animals.ethics.vegetarian that you've been in full on battle mode with rockin' rick etter... I don't think he'll ever publiclly compromise mate, tho I've heard that off list he's quite a nice guy... I *almost* once managed to engage him in a conversation about tree planting and allotments, but I think he realised he was getting too close to mr. Nice Guy & pulled out... Would you seriously have Rick any other way though???
