Guest guest
" Are you naked while you lurk? " Umm, not usually, though if it gets any warmer I might be. Why? " To me murder is murder. If death of the innocent is the ultimate result does it matter much how the killer felt or why he killed or that he will keep on killing? " It matters to me. The intention is important. Death doesn't freak me that much, cruelty does. It's an imperfect world. I'm very much afraid, that based on past experience, this debate is going to lead to....Collateral Damage..... at which point I shut up. I cannot explain how it's ok to combine harvest a fox in a wheat field, even though it was done unintentionally. Or how an earth worm gets killed digging up the spuds. I step on insects and don't even know it. I'm guilty of murder. I used to feed cats on tinned cat food. I drive a car. I talk to farmers and gamekeepers. But, I happen to be vegan. I don't eat animals. In my dictionary, despising people who haven't sussed out cause and effect or their link in the chain is not part of being vegan. I love a few meat eaters despite their vile eating habits. And I love a few vegetarians, despite the fact they can't see that milk farming is maybe worse than venison. And I love some vegans although they have the horrible fault of lacking kindness. And I get loved back, even though I have dozens of nasty habits. Beer and fags for starters. Smack my bum, I'm a disgrace to the race. My nowhere is in Kent, south of Canterbury. It's only 4 or 5 miles to the town, once you're out of the fields and up the track. I'm planting new trees each year and foxes and badgers live here. Also glow worms and slow worms and pheasants and squirrels and woodpeckers and rabbits. We're lucky, we have acres and it's peaceful, and becoming an overgrown wilderness. This is what happens to sabs when they grow old and stout.
