Guest guest
Hi, This is a weird one. Kids all over the world are fed on just breast milk for 6 months, even longer is some traditional communities. Has the NZ vegan society made any comment about this? Is it like the Americans reported not so long ago that lived on some weird fruitarian and cod liver oil diet? I don¹t believe it is just as simple as being vegan to fault. To be honest, I support individuals *and* families right to let themselves members die. A friend, also vegan, just had to make a big decision to go for particularly nasty cancer surgery. It has made me think a lot about what would I do in such a situation. Yup, vegans get cancer too. Orthodox medicine guns after alternative in an astonishingly insensitive way. Given what he has to face, I'd take death - may be after a long holiday in Thailand. I'd like to know more about the circumstances. There is a danger with vegans as they can be pretty extremist nuts, as I am sure we all know ... A good breft of the facts generally gets one through sticky issues such as this. Babies die, vegan babies die ... What are the relative statistics? Joe Public herd and the media all to easily goes " woo-woo! " over individual case sensationalism and is deaf, dumb and blind to the big picture. If anyone knows I'd be interested.
