Guest guest
Burger King in the UK has had a veggie burger / whopper whatever for a few years now, and it used to be vegan too. I say used to, because about 6 months or so ago, they decided to change the recipe (why do companies do this? Ritz crackers decide to redesign their packaging and add lactose, Tesco similarly redesign the packaging for their plain chocolate digestives and add whey... I despair). So the BK veggie burger (UK version) is not vegan any more. However, I am told that their spicy beanburger is vegan. The only drawback is, some of their " restaurants " cook it it the same fat as their chikcen burgers, which makes it not vegan or even vegetarian. However, you can ask the counter staff to cook it in the microwave. So there ya go. >vegan-network >vegan-network >vegan-network >[100% veg*n ] Digest Number 545 >21 Mar 2002 11:37:45 -0000 > > >To to the Digest Mode [ recommended ], send an email to: >vegan-network-digest > >
