Guest guest
Sorry about this post. I know that it's a long shot, but if anyone is or knows anyone in the New Orleans area (or vicinity) who might be able to help a dog (with a home, preferably), please pass this on. A wonderful woman rescued her from the roadway but already has two elderly dogs, as well as runs a pig sanctuary. Please, please, please help her if you can. Details of the dog (Missy) below. Thanks! xk@x Yeooowwwwhhhhh! Help! Her name is now Missy, unless I'm having a bad time, then it's dog, or dammitdog. This is a beautiful white long haired female with pale beige saddle and ears. (one ear looks like someone burnt it with something) Huge brown eyes. She's intact...at the moment....under a year. Very friendly, but also very protective and possessive. She has had some training...*when* you can get her attention, she will lie, sit, and shakes hands. VERY energetic. Needs a big yard to run, exercise, and wear herself out so she won't wear you and your nerves out first. Medium size, but small bones. She only weighs 26 pounds. If you shaved her body, she'd be built like a miniature greyhound of doberman. Her tail curls over her back like a husky or chow. I can't keep her b/c of my 2 15 y/o dogs. She wants to play and they just can't even if they felt like it. She jumps up and scratches the 91 y/o resident. And the woman's so far gone, she aggravates the dog, too. She'll call her to come to her, then either yell at her to go away, or complain that the dog is going to scratch her again. I have to keep road blocks in the house to keep her out of her room, b/c she wants to go sleep in the beds. And she can't figure out what the pigs are. She teases and taunts them to the point they hate her now, and they're even charging my own dogs b/c they don't understand the difference. Missy got so worked up the first time she was out with them, she began growling at them and foaming at the mouth. I can't have that. She's lightening fast. She'd be a great herding dog if someone trained her. If there were a fight, she could seriously injure the pigs if not kill them. Not to mention...I just have too much else going on in my life to raise another puppy. I just feel like I've done my duty for house animals. I won't dump her, but I *really* need to find a good home for her. She's just like me and most of my kids. She's an angel...when she's sleeping.
