I'm not the best baker...but give this a try!

Honor

Cake Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

2 cups wholewheat flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp ground cinnamon

½ tsp salt

½ cup raw cane sugar

Wet Ingredients

¼ cup golden syrup or maple syrup

4 tbsp melted vegan margarine

3 tbsp canola oil

1 cup soy milk

Topping

Dash of pumpkin pie spice

2 apples - thinly sliced

2 tbsp brown sugar

2-3 tbsp hot water to melt the sugar

1. Preheat over to 200 degrees celcius (about 400 degrees farenheit). Grease

pan - I use a bundt pan because the apple slices fit very nicely, but use

whatever works for you!

2. Sift dry ingredients and mix.

3. Combine wet ingredients and mix.

4. Make a well in the center of dry ingredients and pour the wet ingredients

in.

5. Blend the mixture until there is no trace of dry ingredients, do not over

mix! It's not meant to be smooth, but blended just enough.

6. Pour batter into the pan.

7. (optional) Melt brown sugar in the hot water and stir. Arrange apple slices

on top of the batter in the pan and then brush the sugar mixture onto the apple

slices.

8. Pop it in the oven and let it bake for about 30 minutes.

9. Check with a toothpick when it's been in there for 30 minutes, if the

toothpick comes out with some cake stuck to it, leave the cake in the oven for

another few minutes, but turn the oven down to 175 degrees celcius (about 350

degrees farenheit) - I like playing this safe.I HAVE had accidents before!
