Guest guest
Ah, but haven't you read recent editorials? The ban just shows our " intolerance " toward a " minority " and provides a diversion from other, more important things! Aaargh... xxk@xx demo [jallan] 15 February 2002 01:44 100% Veg*n [100% veg*n ] Scotland bans dog hunting ... I have to say that it is a little extra badge of honour to be born Scots today, as the Scottish Parliament bans the dog hunting of foxes, hares, badgers and the like. Must be to the animal rights movement what Wilberforce et al was to the turn against slavery. a small but important milestone. is this the first civilised nation to ban hunting from within? or the first signs of any nation hunting greater symptoms of civilisations? has to send a little Richter wave around the world and will surely be used by other campaigners in other countries. Scot's wa' hey wi' nae foxes bled. well done. What a fine nation, unique to create a nationalist party that is not about hatred but higher ideals and now to take the lead in matters of animals rights and prove that public support is in our favour. It'll be interesting to see if if the matter embarrasses the English Labour Party into having to take action.
