Guest guest
>>would you trust list of Animal Free Products that >>lists all dairy foods, or a vegan list that list >>Fresh Stock under a heading Meat Products It's amazing the number of people who are totally unaware, and even more so the number of people who just don't care - The company I work are just preparing for their christmas meal, and they sent a questionnaire through, to allow you to specify any dietary preferences - and it goes... 'If vegetarian, do you eat fish and/or chicken?' eh! who are these people - don't they know what a vegetarian is? has the term become so widespread now that if you don't eat red-meat, then hey, you're a vegetarian - I reckon I'll be lucky if they even know what a vegan is - >>we really dont belong in this world folks. Guest guest
The chicken thing doesn't fly with most people, but it has definetly become mainstream to use the word vegetarian in reference to those who abstain from land animals. It also seems that gelatin doesn't seem to be considered meat. Ive even had the somewhat ignorant (but I'd certainly explained my beliefes) offer me " vegan " food made with chicken broth. i suppose if their's not solid chunks of meat, it doesn't count. i think part of the sea-food vegetarian thing relates to health. Most people acknowledge that " meat " is unhealthy, but fish are still considered healthy.
