Apparently the animal ingredient (presumably the caseinates) are removed

during the process of cooking.

My understanding is that the ingredients list is trustworthy. A

statement such as " Milk products used during creation but not present in

final product. " would have been good.

In the past, you've referred to times when " raising hell " had worked.

Usually, that's been because you had a named and recognised person to

deal with, on whom pressure could be placed.

In this case, giving people hell would merely annoy people who have

little to lose by ignoring you.

(i) Why would veggies want to boycott one of the best ranges of veggie

food out there?

(ii) Can't we find more deserving companies for a boycott than Heinz?

We don't have teeth. For supermarkets, we are an all but negligible

economic force, at least currently.

The point at which pressure might be applied is the McCartney family,

and they'd only help us because they thought that making being vegan

easier was good for the animals. We'll have to convince them, not

pressure them.

Does anyone know what the point of contact for them is? I've had no luck

getting it from the " Careline " .

Make no mistake - I'm not happy about this. Any chance I get, I refer to

the new products as " now with added cruelty " . But I don't think the

" give them hell " approach will work.

If you don't mean that we should be rude, why use a phrase like " Give

them hell! " ?

Fine, then why would veggies want to boycott one of the most accessible

ranges of veggie food?

Yes, but they don't ... and there are many companies more deserving of

boycott. If we boycott everyone as ethical or less so than McCartney's

.... where are we going to eat?

Left in because I think it bears repeating.

He is? Who?

Why?

I doubt it would even register as a blip on their scale.

I can't think of any reason why anything other than (i) their customer

service line or (ii) a campaign aimed a the McCartney family would work.
