Yes Jenny,

I understand what you are saying,and you are not strange in

that you keep opinions to yourself. but if we were all to keep our opinions

to ourselves where animal cruelty is concerned, then i'm afraid we're as bad

as the animal abusers

 

If there is one thing worse than animal abuse, or any type of abuse or

exploitation for that matter, it is to witness it and say or do nothing about

it.

I met Angie for the second time, and one of her sons and his

girlfriend at the Environmental festival just around the corner from

us in Harrow, and also Patrick of Veggies, and a few other people

whose names I didn't know (staffing the Veggies van). Which one were

you? I didn't know you were one of them! You didn't say! Were you the

young man with long dark hair, there both days?

 

The event did not seem to be as well attended as I would have

expected. Unfortunately Harrow is a bit of a snooty unfriendly area,

there is not as much veggie and vegan solidarity as I would like to

see in this town. Even the other vegan family on the vegan families

list never come to the local meals we have at the Chai and they don't

ever seem very interested in having anything to do with us. The same

can be said of the two or three other Harrow people I remember as

being active in AR a few years back, they have consistently ignored

my invitations to the Chai meals and I have given up on them now.

It's shameful, we should stick together.

 

It was so great to have Veggies catering and stall presence as we

have no formal organised AR or veggie/vegan group in the area.
