Guest guest
Haven't been on the list for a while, busy moving house. Am now pretty well settled, though the majority of my clothes are still in boxes. BUT... now I need some housemates, as I'm rattling around in a 3+ bedroom house. I told some friends that I was only looking for vegetarian, preferably vegan, housemates, and my (meat-eating) friends pretty much laughed in my face and said I didn't have a hope. So I need help to prove them wrong - does anyone have any suggestions about good places to advertise for housemates? I sent an ad to VeganVillage noticeboard but for some reason they didn't put it up. I'm going to try again, but was wondering if anyone knew anywhere else? Also, I need to paint one of the rooms and was wondering if anyone had suggestions for environmentaly friendly paint, that's not too expensive. Ta, Emily PS. Thanks to everyone (especially Rob) for the moral fibre - my conscience is working much better since reading all the anti-big-business stuff _______________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
Emily - Try Ecos for paint (www.ecospaints.com) Tel: 01524 852371 (they're in Lancashire). They advertise in loads of environmental magazines, their paint is organic, and contains no animal products. I presume they are not tested on animals either? I've never used them though - don't own my own place - so no idea of cost etc. Knowing how the environmental friendly option usually goes though, I'd expect 3x cost of normal paint! BuI'm just a cynic. What colour are you after (that's just me being nosey!). There used to be another supplier (forgotten name), but don't seem to see them around these days. Good luck with the flatmate hunt - I would hassle VeganVillage until they put your ad up. -- Rob vegan-network, " Emily Howarth " <dropscone@h...> wrote: > Also, I need to paint one of the rooms and was wondering if anyone had > suggestions for environmentaly friendly paint, that's not too expensive. > > Ta, > > Emily
