Guest guest
Surely the best thing to do is to say a side of a line that doesn't hurt anything. For all I know (playing devils advocate) women don't feel pain as I do. So if I slap them about a bit it might be ok. Lets stay on the non-honey side until someone (preferably a bee) can tell me it is ok for us to share their honey! > > (I still eat things with > >honeyin). > > > well then you are not a vegan. > The reason for me that we do not eat honey is similar to that of free >range eggs. > When a hen comes back to its nest and finds any eggs missing it always >lays more to compensate. > We don't know but incase bees do the same - > >Is it a problem if a bee does the same? Guest guest
I agree completely, besides honey is probably the easiest thing to give up anyway, it's not hidden in as many processed foods as dairy products are. I hardly ever had any use for it even when I was an omni or lacto-ovo- veg. Golden syrup is a yummy alternative. Golden syrup is a yummy alternative In Portugal cutting out honey is difficult (but manageable) most sweet things on the market that don't have dairy products in them have honey. Golden syrup is very hard to get and is very expensive. :-( Remember us here when you're next in your delicious health shops in the UK :-) Tom
Guest guest
I'm sorry to hear that it's more difficult to cut out honey where you live. I've never noticed it being a problem in the UK. Maybe the food manufacturers and more of the customers in Portugal still believe the old nonsense myth that honey is more healthy and natural than other sugars. They forget that it might contain bits of dead bees, definitely not a pleasant thought!
