Guest guest
Lesley, I don't know if you're in an area where you get Metro, the free morning newspaper, but I managed to get an AR letter published (although they changed the words and it lost some of its sense!), so they must be quite easy. Maybe it was beginner's luck - it was my first letter to a newspaper. I think it works best if you reply quickly to something in their current copy, send it in by e-mail for speed and also then they don't need to re-type it - just copy and paste . Oh, and make sure you mark it for publication. They did have quite a few letters criticising the FMD slaughter. I think short, witty, to-the-point letters work best. Sometimes they're hard to write though since you can get het up on all the details, issues etc. I was also recently involved with a group tackling the government on a (non-AR) issue, and the press officer sent out some quidelines for getting published - I can dig them out if anyone's interested... vegan-network, " Lesley Dove " <100706.3632@c...> wrote: > <snip> > but in my experience it is really very easy to get publicity in local > papers, although not so easy nationally for an individual like me, > but I will be trying. > > Lesley
