Guest guest
Hello Sandra, Eating out is the main problem for vegans in Portugal. Regular restaurants don't have any special vegan dishes and even the Chinese and Japanese ones seem to think that in Portugal people just want meat and fish. There are a few macrobiotic restaurants but the majority is self-service which I'm not very fond of. So that leaves us with two or three macrobiotic restaurants that are good but always have that " too healthy and boring " side to them. In Portugal we haven't been able to find a vegetarian restaurant as such, with yummy vegan food. But I do think things are changing and sooner or later there will be more variety. My best regards Joana Fisher P.S- Thank you for your help with my vegan cheese quest! - " Sandra Pehrsson " <sandrapehr <vegan-network > Monday, March 19, 2001 11:09 AM Re: vegetarian cheese > Hi Joanna, > > I'll try to check it up for you, it might be possible to buy the cheese from > internet.
