She has got every right to say how she feels about the lack of family participation at the Vegan Society AGM. A little more effort is all it takes. Is it too much to ask people to help entertain the children so everyone can take part? If the staff have to leave Hastings at 08.00 and don't get back till 09.00 what is so hard about that? If they don't like it they shouldn't volunteer, should they? Anyway, they probably don't have to look after screaming kids all night and then have to listen to all those boring speeches so it's just as hard being a family! I just think it would make AGM much better and more family-friendly in future if we could have a Punch and Judy show and a animal-free circus to show everyone that you can put on good entertainment without elephants. Or perhaps we could make them out of papier-mache?
