From next Friday 2nd Aug to 9th August I will be away

Vegan Camp starts on Sat. August 3rd, so Dilys and I will be away for

just over a week. This year we are going to the famous Lake

District. This is a BEAUTIFUL part of England; Wordsworth the

poet lived there. .... " A host of golden Daffodils... " The main

problem there is that for the lakes to be there, they need to be

filled up. And what fills the lakes? RAIN! MORE RAIN & MORE

RAIN!!!!

 

The last time I went camping there it was the wettest ever Vegan

Camp, BUT we did have some nice weather too. and we climbed the

third higest mountain there, Helvellyn, and we tackled it along

Striding edge (A long narrow ridge with steep sides ....BOTH

sides!!! NOT for people with vertigo!!!!) There are photos of all

the vegan camps I have been on at this Group

and I have been to MOST of them since it started over 20 years ago.

and I shall put in some of this year's when I return.

 

We are praying that the days that it DOESN'T rain there ARE the

days we go! LOL

 

I may actually be off line longer than that cause we are going over

to Broad band Internet connection soon, and it takes a bit of time

to set it up.

 

So I hope everyone has a good time when we are away.
