Most people who grow up on farms believe that is the way to live and scoff at *townies* and *veggies*. They believe that you should eat a diet of meat and don't bat an eyelid at killing an animal or having it sent off to slaughter. I think to rebel against the lifestyle you have been brought up on is standing out from your family and being prepared to take that risk. All my family eat meat every day. They don't farm anymore though.
