Guest guest
United we stand. Divided we fall. And, animals loose. This was one of the points I hoped to make in my addendum to my Protest Etiquette comment (VegNod post # 1590, which I pasted below) last week. As more people join AR and the movement grows, it is likely real or perceived differences will arise. Unfortunately, that is human nature. We should be prepared for this and handle differences calmly and rationally and retain our focus on the common goal. It is essential that we subordinate our own wants and needs to those of the animals. This incident at sea is a sad example of what happens when AR individuals and groups do not cooperate in the fight against the common enemy. The whalers are likely very pleased. MargaretPosted Friday, January 18, 2008 Re: VegNod & Ms. Manners Wade in on Protest Etiquette Please note that I specified this is how I believe DFW "educational demonstrations" are most effective. I do what works. Other venues call for other tactics. Also, VegNod's motto is "Stronger Together." I didn't select this motto because I thought it catchy. There are too few of "us" at present and a whole lot of "them." We must put aside our differences and unite to effectively give voice to the voiceless. Otherwise, it's divide and conquer. If that happens, it is the animals that will loose. I welcome conversation on this topic. Thank you. Margaret Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Search.
