Dearest Volunteers,

Well, it's nearly spring, thank heavens, and that means that it's time for The

Great American Meatout celebration, the annual event organized by the San

Francisco Vegetarian Society and Unitarians for the Ethical Treatment of

Animals.

This year the event will be on Sunday, March 21, from 12:15 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. at

the Unitarian Church, 1187 Franklin Street at Geary, SanFrancisco.

The event schedule is as follows: 12:15 p.m. -- Vegan Hors d'oeuvres

12:30 p.m. Vegan luncheon

(delicious, of course!)

2:00 p.m. Talk by Bob

Linden of Go Vegan Radio

2:15 p.m.

Guest speaker Dr. Will Tuttle, author of The World Peace Diet

Volunteers are needed as follows:

Sunday 3/21, 9 a.m. - 12:00 noon Help prepare the luncheon (6 volunteers

needed)

12:15 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Volunteer at SFVS information

table (2)

12:15 - 1:45 p.m. Help serve lunch (5)

3:15 - 4:00 p.m. Help clean up (4)

Plus a couple of volunteers for any odd jobs that arise!

This event promises to be just wonderful, especially with your help. Please

contact Nancy Loewen at njloewen or at 415-750-0614 to volunteer. As

always, THANK YOU from the bottom of my vegan heart.

Nancy Loewen

Volunteer Coordinator
