Guest guest Posted March 10, 2010 Report Share Posted March 10, 2010 Dearest Volunteers, Well, it's nearly spring, thank heavens, and that means that it's time for The Great American Meatout celebration, the annual event organized by the San Francisco Vegetarian Society and Unitarians for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. This year the event will be on Sunday, March 21, from 12:15 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Church, 1187 Franklin Street at Geary, SanFrancisco. The event schedule is as follows: 12:15 p.m. -- Vegan Hors d'oeuvres 12:30 p.m. Vegan luncheon (delicious, of course!) 2:00 p.m. Talk by Bob Linden of Go Vegan Radio 2:15 p.m. Guest speaker Dr. Will Tuttle, author of The World Peace Diet Volunteers are needed as follows: Sunday 3/21, 9 a.m. - 12:00 noon Help prepare the luncheon (6 volunteers needed) 12:15 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Volunteer at SFVS information table (2) 12:15 - 1:45 p.m. Help serve lunch (5) 3:15 - 4:00 p.m. Help clean up (4) Plus a couple of volunteers for any odd jobs that arise!
