Guest guest
A new moon, pouring rain, conditions right for lucid dreaming... but couldn't get to sleep, kept thinking about that redtailed hawk I saw that afternoon. It had flown low in front of my car and I kept asking myself why it did that, but this was the wrong question. I should have assumed it was for my benefit (whether it was or wasn't) and looked for other significance. Which was: 1. It came from my left, and departed that way too 2. It followed the road for quite a distance (unusual behavior for a hawk) in a northeasterly direction. That's what I needed to know. I got out of bed, got onto the couch with my head pointed northeast (lying on my left side with face toward the southeast). I dreamed without falling asleep, walking in a city I call Vienna (I don't know why, it doesn't look like Vienna and I'm not overly fond of Vienna). I walked beside a monastery (?) with curious lozenge- shaped motifs (I think). I walked up some steps and into a courtyard, and was greeted with a gentle waft of blissful something, I don't know what. It came from my left. I was standing in the dream facing southeast, so the surge came from the northeast; as my body lay on the couch, it came from the northeast straight through my crown chakra. The pleasant feeling lasted less than a second because as I took a step into the courtyard, it intensified many times over. I was overwhelmed. I don't know if I couldn't handle the intensity or if I was just too surprised, but I couldn't maintain it. Definite sensations of an open crown chakra, eyes looking up automatically, without the usual effort. My next impulse was hunger: I had a few bowls of raisin bran at 1am (like a growing boy!) and slept... John E
Guest guest
Well done John E. A top down approach may be indicated for you. But we may need some more peer reviewed replicable studies to confirm - smile. When you next enter into sacred space ie meditation or prayer or doing what you did and eliciting a lucid dreamteaching, Remember the feeling of the energy in your crown and try to replicate it and move it to another chakra. Perhaps the sixth or fourth. Remember to show gratitude for the teaching and " good on you " for taking your next steps into the vastness. -
Guest guest
John E. Please make the attempt every night to return to Vienna. Whatever and however you need to do to get there, please make this a part of your practice - chrism
