Hi John,

Welcome to the group. To answer your question: I am physically aware

of all of my major chakras in the body as well as hands and feet. I

sense their vibrations and see them as colored lights during

meditation. I bet a lot of folks feel & see their own chakras, too.

The easiest way to experience them is to feel them as bubbles of

warmth on the front and back of the body, for example during or after

an energy healing.

Would you like to share some of your own experiences with chakra

awareness?

Sel

PS: I like your web name: it reminds me of Naomi Klein's book--a

great read!

chakra awareness

Greetings

I'm new to this group, and would like to start off with a question:

Are you physicaly aware of some or all of your chakras, and if so,

which ones?

Hello John and welcome,

Awareness of the chakras for me is complete.

Visually and with touch. By this I mean that the awareness is as

thorough as is the awareness of my arm and by extension the fingers

and hand etc. What nerve cells do for the awareness of the physical

body the individual energetics of the nerve plexus (chakra) infused

with Kundalini, will do for the chakras.

If one chakra is being more stimulated by the energetic flows this

chakra will standout much the same as a sore finger will stand out

or another part of the physical body that is feeling tremendous joy

will stand out

from the rest of the parts. Sometimes heat or cold sensations will

emanate from a chakra, sometimes a sensation of energetic build up

can occur. Many of the sensations are very tactile with clear and

present sensation. Are you feeling your chakras at this

time John? - chrism

Sel and Chrism,

Thanks for your responses. My answer, unfortunately, is a very

simple one: I'm not very aware of the chakras. The only

experience I have of them is probably only based on the

foreknowledge of where I should expect them to be. In other

words, I have had no convincing sensations proving their

existence.

This is not to say that I doubt their existence, but rather to say that

any action involving the chakras seems to me to be limited to

whatever information my imagination can provide.

Likewise with kundalini, which I also have only the vaguest

feelings of -- I'd like to hear people's descriptions of their first

sensations involving kundalini, of how they first became

physically aware of it.

Sometimes the first indication of Kundalini, actually most times, is quite

dramatic for a person. Mine involved a very strong and palpable -from within-

sensation of something going up my spine and then going over the top of my head

stoopping at the point between the eyebrows then shaking me violently for a

time. At the same time brilliant lights seemed to explode into my visual

awareness, the feeling of expansion and a presence inside the spine. Not knowing

what was happening at the time I was amazed to say the least and quite

frightened, and the thought of some severe medical condition having at last

befallen me crossed my mind but only breifly.

I had been working towards this for some time without really wanting to. I had

read about the Kundalini before in my studies and decided that this was way

outside of my interests. I already had very active real phenomenah that was more

then what I felt able to control. Seeing entities, lights, hearing sounds that

should not be there, remote influence, a real head case or head ache for any

psychiatric staff. Back then folks did not speak much of these things as the

inexorable thorazine shuffle would be your next dance lesson. My family new but

did not understand a some few friends knew.

I kept it to myself for years until I decided one day I was going to go

vertical and sidestep the Kundalini, not understanding that the vertical path

is the Kundalini.

OOPs.

So I started Chakra breathing, praying, meditating and recieving a procedure

designed to hyperdynamic the nervous system, big mistake, next thing I knew I

was shaking from the inside out and the outside in, being visited by some very

unfortunate........folks, oohing and aweing at the fireworks outside and inside

my eyes - very beautiful - and trying to figure out the heck just happened. As I

was sidestepping the Kundalini, couldnt be that, must be that damn hyperdynamic

stuff oh shit! Took me some time before I knew what had occured......another

story.

Here is an instruction about chakra breathing this will help you feel it if

you wish:

John,

Chakra meditation can really help you become aware of your chakras. I

developed my energy awareness through yoga and meditation, but each of

us has a different story. As to kundalini: when it goes up, it feels

like a nuclear bomb exploding inside and around your body... In a good

way, of course, but still very, very powerful--and a tad scary, if you

are not prepared (which I wasn't, at least the first time around).

Love & light,

Typically the first spinal sweep is tremendous. This is typical but not a law.

Much depends on a persons pre-conditioning.

Entities and sounds and lights are also common with the experience. I try not

to bring my personal experiences into these statements as it may not be

appropriate...

Partial or full activation it leads to the same place eventually. With

intention the process is aided.

It was a mistake (perhaps). Maybe I needed to experience the deleterious

aspects of Kundalini in order steer others away. Yes, this is clear but damage

has occurred. So lets be clear. You use the gifts unwisely meaning without love

and respect not only for self but for others then extremely unfortunate

experiences await the person who takes that path. Some of you will have

curiosity about this and this natural, but any explanation I can provide will do

nothing to even come close to the horrors that await that path and I wont go

into it any further.

Thank you Tara for your kind and wise words - a fellow traveler - chrism
