hi, moki--

as other people have mentioned, it's really a matter of making sure you have

a nutritionally balanced vegetarian diet-- most people don't do that, and then

think they can't be healthy without meat. make sure your diet is:

-40-50% complex carbs (brown rice, whole grains, fruits, and especially

vegetables!!)

-30-40% lean proteins (soy products, seitan, many grains, legumes/beans,

nuts/seeds; add dairy and eggs to this if you are lacto/ovo)

-20% healthy fats (olive oil, flaxseed oil, grapeseed oil, nuts, avocadoes)

also make sure your diet has enough calories to sustain your everyday

activity ((your weight in lbs x 11) x (your activity level) + (your weight x

11),

where activity level is:

-20% if you do no activity

-30% if you are on your feet a lot and take walks and such, but don't ever

really break a sweat

-40% if you exercise vigorously at least 3 hours a week

-50% if you have an olympic-style training regimen

hope this helps!
