As this is an herbal listserve and not an acu listserve, I will make my question

quick and easy. Is it legal for a L.Ac. to do pelvic floor and levator ani

needling? Does anyone know who does this kind of work? Is there special

training or licensing for internal needling?

Thanks,

Jennifer

If you look at shi xue mins new acupuncture textbook, many of his needle

techniques are much deeper, for example he has a technique for prostate

conditions where he inserts around st28 a 3 inch needle where as most of our

textbooks say 1-1.5

This is the way I was taught and have done so with great results, in fact, once

patients get past the obvious discomfort of the thought of such a technique they

have frequently reported looking forward to it because it so obviously helped

them....
