Hi Everyone,

How does one find a mentor that you would want to study under for a limited

period of time?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I would suggest finding someone whose work strongly represents the direction you

want go and doing whatever it takes to learn from them. Having said that, you

want to ask around and make sure of their integrity and convince yourself of it

too. But once you are convinced then give it everything.

Good for you. I guess you want a change, a breakthrough.

It would be easier to provide you with opinions if we know more about your

situtation such as your objective, which direction you want to pursue, how

'limited time' you plan to devote and where you are now(training background,

skills mastered, what level you think you are, etc),

If you know which speciality you want to pursue and can spare at least a month,

find a major tcm affiliated hospital for observation. It is ideal for those with

some years of clinical experiences.

If you can only afford a day per week for example, your best bet might be

finding someone who are about to retire. References from your school teachers

are most likely workable. They are also the best sources for consultations of

herbal prescriptions in difficult cases.
